Sandun Shivantha ( ශිවන්ත සදුන් ) Kuruppu's Home Page Last Updated: June 2013
Ayubowan and hello, warm welcomes to my home page. I'm Sandun Shivantha Kuruppu a graduate student at Purdue University, with research focus in Electric machine control for automotive applications. I obtained my Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Later I joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology department at Purdue University due to their focus on applied engineering program. There I was able engage in applied engineering research in power electronics, motor controls, fault diagnostic algorithms and vehicle stability control. I have equal experience on simulations as well as hardware design and implementation. I enjoy working with electric machines, algorithm development and the final stages of integration and testing. Through out the past I have done numerous electronics, power electronics, robotics, motor controls and software projects. Further I am happy to say that I have considerable amount of industrial experience through my internships. As a fan on electric machines electric vehicles, I was lucky enough and privileged to test drive the General Motors EV-1, an electric vehicle from the past. This website is merely an attempt to share a little bit about myself with everyone. So feel free to roam the website and contact me if necessary!
